Man charged with DUI in 1-vehicle rollover

SCOTTSDALE - A 19-year-old man was charged with DUI in a Scottsdale rollover accident involving two minors, police said.

Brian Bennett of Tempe and the two passengers were not seriously injured in the single-vehicle accident near Hayden Road and Moreland Street early Sunday.

Bennett was turned over to Tempe police after the 1:20 a.m. accident on two outstanding warrants for failing to appear at Tempe City Court on underage-drinking charges, police said.

In addition to DUI, Bennett was charged Sunday with underage drinking and driving on a suspended license.

Bennett's passengers, a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, were also charged for underage drinking, police said. Bennett was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn with minor injuries.
